With Poison Mist and various unblockable attacks, Armor King can also execute a variety of setups after scoring a knockdown or restricting opponents' movement by putting them against a wall. Outside of traditional strengths, he also has a few tricks up his sleeve. Once he can wavedash in on his opponent, Armor King has access to difficult but rewarding strike/throw mixups. He can't quite build momentum on offense or easy mixups, but his toolkit and movement allow him to relentlessly poke away at opponents while keeping them at a comfortable range. PlaystyleĪrmor King is a character with a strong focus on fundamentals. In Tekken 7, he received a significant upgrade to his attire, adding a long red waist cape, large white-furred scarf, spiked metal boots, metal gauntlets, and swapping his leather vest for chainmail that covers his arms and back. His armor includes spiked pauldrons, spiked vambraces, breastplate, greaves, and metal plates on his arms and legs. AppearanceĪs the name suggests, Armor King is most often depicted wearing armor on top of his black leather pants and vest. ![]() Armor King II has little care for anything that doesn't get him closer to achieving vengeance. Little is known about Armor King's successor, but it's certain that he cared deeply for his older brother, whose death took a severe toll on him. Since then, Armor King II has been relentlessly chasing after Marduk to fight him and end it once and for all. This led to Armor King II despising King II and choosing to pursue vengeance in his own way. However, after seeing a picture of Marduk's family, he discarded thoughts of revenge, wishing for Marduk to be redeemed instead. After entering the King of the Iron First tournament, King II beat Marduk and visited him at the hospital to deliver a finishing blow. After his older brother was killed in a bar brawl by Craig Marduk, Armor King II was enraged and sought revenge, much like King II, who cherished Armor King as his mentor. Armor King we see in Tekken 7 is Armor King II, the younger brother of the original Armor King.

The OG controls are atrocious, and this is coming from someone who prefers to play Doom 1993 with full keyboard) then it would be a fine enough game to give your time into. If you could get the Arena Remapped mod downloaded (trust me, you need it. For every fault it has, it has something amazing that it does. Basically your basic town stuff you see in RPGs since Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest.Īll in all, Arena is a really amazing anamoly. Outside of the dungeon crawling, the open world has nothing much to offer except for few side jobs, obvious weapon repair/buying shopes, Mages Guild to buy spells and potions (though a cool feature is spellmaker, which allows you to combine multiple spells into one), and conclaves/churches to heal yourself from diseases or refill your hp. And yes, that's it, no change of mission type in the between. The story is okayish "save the world by collecting these mcguffin" type of story, and not to mention, the entire mission structure could be summarized as go to place -> talk to a person to go to a mini dungeon to get a tablet or parchment -> return to that person and then get the location of the main dungeon containing the staff pieces -> go to that main dungeon (possibly solve a riddle) and get the piece -> Repeat and Repeat and Repeat. Whenever I was lost, just using the map gave me a good idea of where i was, and the dark view/early sound effects of the dungeon corridors make those parts even more ominous and even scary at moments. ![]() That is what half of it makes the game so interesting, so much so, even during its frustrating moments, you have enough resources to try again and again and surpass them.Īnother great thing about this game is that its map system is more comprehensible than its contemporaries like Ultima, Doom, and King's Field. If you wish, you can go hard-on and kill them by swinging your weapon, or you can curse them, burn them with fire, stone them with medusa's gaze, go invisible/levitate them or be an absolute chad, drink some resist potions and walk away from them without even paying any attention to them. ![]() The Elder Scrolls Arena has some issues (well it is a bethesda game, so of course) but it kind of manages to work around that by providing absolute freedom in case of how you approach enemies. ![]() ![]() ![]() But balance adjustments aren’t all you can expect from this book – you’ll get a new way to play battles in the skies, rules to create your own bespoke heroes, and complete rulesets for multiplayer gaming. The player has full control over customizing their wanzers and can do so as long as its total weight value does not exceed its given power output. In the customization aspect of Front Mission, wanzers can be customized with a variety of parts, computers, auxiliary backpacks, and weapons. These enemy units generally have only one part, the body, and are much stronger than wanzers themselves. While the player fights mostly wanzers, vehicles, aircraft, and mobile weapons platforms are also featured. Destruction of arm and leg parts does not remove the wanzer from play, but it severely cripples its performance. In the event the body is destroyed, the wanzer is removed from play completely. The legs parts enable movement and evasion, the arm parts are necessary to use hand and shoulder weapons, and the body part maintains the wanzer's operability. Each part has a specific function and its own health bar. A wanzer differs from the typical combat unit in that it has four modular parts: body, left arm, right arm, and legs, in accordance with the MULS-P standard. In Front Mission, players use playable units called wanzers, a term for mecha derived from the German word Wanderpanzer, or "walking tank". Battle zones are where the missions take place, though they become inaccessible upon the completion of a mission. Towns and cities act as intermission points where the player can organize, backtrack, and set up their units for the upcoming mission. As the player progresses through the plot, new locations are revealed on the world map. ![]() The player travels to locations on a point-and-click world map. Game progression in Front Mission proceeds in a linear manner: watch cut-scene events, complete missions, set up wanzers during intermissions, and sortie for the next mission.
